Privacy policy

This policy explains what information Leurons collects, why, and what we do with it. We try to collect as little as possible and to be plain about it.

What we collect

• Account details: your name and email address when you register.
• Your study material: when you upload a PDF or PowerPoint, we extract the text and keep that text plus the study set we generate from it. We do not store your original uploaded files.
• AI tutor conversations: the explanations you type and the tutor's replies, so you can continue a session.
• Usage counts: how many study sets and tutor messages you've used, to apply free limits.
• Feedback you send us: the message you write on the feedback page, plus your name and email if you choose to add them. Both are optional, and you can send feedback without an account.
• Payment information: handled entirely by Stripe. We store only your subscription status and a Stripe reference; we never see or store your card number.

How we use it

To provide the service: generate your summaries, flashcards and quizzes, run the AI tutor, save your study sets, and manage your subscription. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

AI processing

To create your study materials and tutor replies, the extracted text and your tutor messages are sent to our AI provider, Anthropic (Claude), which processes them on our behalf to return the result. They are not used to train models on by us.

Payments

Subscriptions are processed by Stripe. Card details go directly to Stripe and never touch our servers.

Cookies

We use only essential cookies: keeping you signed in (session), protecting forms (security/CSRF), and a guest identifier so a study set you make before signing up can be moved to your account when you register. No advertising or analytics tracking cookies.

To see how many people visit, we use privacy-friendly analytics on our public pages only. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, and does not build a profile of you or follow you across websites. It records aggregate counts such as page views and which site linked to us. It is not used anywhere inside your account, so the study sets you create and your conversations with the AI tutor are never sent to it.

Keeping and deleting your data

We keep your data while your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account and its data at any time (see Contact).

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can request access to, correction of, a copy of, or deletion of your personal data, and you can withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, email us and we'll take care of it.

International transfers

Some of our providers (such as Anthropic and Stripe) may process data outside the EU. Where that happens, it's done under the appropriate safeguards those providers offer.

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date above.
