Leurons

Terms of service

Last updated: August 2026

Leurons is a study tool: upload your lecture slides and get a summary, flashcards, a practice quiz, and an AI tutor that makes you explain concepts back. By creating an account or using Leurons, you agree to these terms. We've tried to keep them short and in plain language.

Who can use Leurons

You need to be at least 16 years old to create an account, or have a parent or guardian's permission if you're younger. You're responsible for keeping your login details to yourself and for anything that happens under your account.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you upload: your lecture slides, notes, and anything you type. By uploading a file, you confirm you have the right to use it (for example, it's your own course material) and you grant us permission to process it: extract the text, send it to our AI provider, and generate your study materials, purely to provide the service to you. We don't claim ownership of your content and we don't use it to train AI models.

Please only upload material you're allowed to use for your own studying. Don't upload anyone else's private information, or content you don't have rights to.

AI-generated content

Summaries, flashcards, quizzes, and tutor replies are generated by an AI model based on the text we extract from your uploads. AI can get things wrong. It can misread a slide, oversimplify, or occasionally state something incorrect. Leurons is a study aid, not a substitute for your course materials, your teacher, or your own judgment. Always double-check anything important against your actual course content before relying on it, especially ahead of an exam.

Acceptable use

Please don't:

  • Try to break, overload, or abuse the service (including working around usage limits).
  • Use Leurons for anything illegal, or to upload harmful, abusive, or infringing content.
  • Attempt to access another user's account or data.
  • Resell or redistribute the service or the material it generates for you.

We can suspend or close an account that breaks these rules.

Free plan and usage limits

The free plan includes a limited number of study sets and AI tutor messages per month, enforced automatically. We may change these limits, and the features included in each plan, from time to time, and we'll keep the pricing page up to date.

Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans (Pro and Premium) are not yet available. The site is currently free-first while payments are being set up. Once paid plans go live: subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until you cancel; billing is handled by Stripe and we never see your card details; you can cancel anytime from your account settings and you'll keep access until the end of the period you already paid for.

No guarantees

Leurons is provided "as is." We work to keep it reliable, but we don't guarantee it will always be available, error-free, or that the AI's output will be accurate or complete. To the extent allowed by law, we're not liable for indirect damages (like a missed exam or lost grade) arising from your use of the service, including reliance on AI-generated content. Nothing here limits liability where the law doesn't allow it (for example, in cases of intentional misconduct).

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from your account settings, which removes your data as described in our Privacy policy. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Changes to these terms

If we make meaningful changes, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date above. Continuing to use Leurons after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands.
